David Walliams parted ways with book publisher.
Prolific writer for children and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
A representative for the company stated: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the conclusion was made after an inquiry regarding reports of inappropriate behaviour directed at young women.
The firm has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."
A Highly Successful Writing Journey
Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies internationally in five dozen languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.
A number of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.
His bibliography includes more than 40 books combined, including a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.
A Dual Career
He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
