Jet Carrying US Defense Secretary Forced to Touch Down in UK Because of Fracture in Cockpit Window
An aircraft carrying the US defense secretary was forced to make an emergency landing in the Britain on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the aircraft's cockpit window, as stated by an official announcement which stated that the secretary was unharmed.
"The aircraft touched down in accordance with standard procedures and all individuals on the flight, including Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," a press officer stated in a social media post.
The secretary was coming back from a brief trip to the Belgian capital when the incident occurred.
This occurrence does not mark the first time that a United States armed forces jet ferrying a senior official has experienced equipment failures.
Earlier this year, a American military jet transporting Marco Rubio to Munich was forced to head back to the US capital after suffering a technical issue.
