Salah Extends Apology to Teammates, Says Curtis Jones
The Liverpool midfielder has disclosed that Mohamed Salah apologised to the team following the fallout from his televised remarks.

The striker was dropped from a key Champions League match following making accusations and claiming his connection to the head coach had broken down.
“Salah is an individual and he can say his own stuff,” Jones told Sky Sports. “He said sorry to the group and was like: ‘If my words hurt anyone, I'm sorry.’”
The manager has previously declined to disclose on whether he was apologised to from the 33-year-old forward.
Looking Ahead
The player stated that the dressing room atmosphere stayed normal. “Nothing about him changed, his demeanour was positive and it was business as usual,” Jones added.
The midfielder also suggested that a competitor wanting to play is a positive trait. “It's clear there are specific approaches you can handle situations,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just sit out, then I think that’s more of an issue.”
On-Field Response
Their results have been impressive in the period after the interview fallout. The player is convinced the Salah's words were not designed to destabilise the squad.
“In moments of frustration, the source has been from a place of caring,” he finished. “It's behind us and we’re gelling well as a team, getting results and starting to win games.”
