Ways these Broncos together with their malleable quarterback can halt that Kansas City Chiefs' dominance.

Week six of the 2025 NFL season

Real-time updates includes live text for Sunday's games via various channels, starting with Denver Broncos v New York Jets in London (kicking off at 2 PM BST). Additionally, radio commentary can be heard on select stations covering another key matchup (beginning at 9 PM BST).

We're in the sixth week of the football calendar , after recent discussion about two top teams being a potential Super Bowl match-up, each surrendered their unbeaten records.

Notable in those games was the number of penalties both conceded. The Eagles committed them in key moments meaning they essentially defeated themselves having led 17-3 entering the fourth period against Denver, set to play overseas this Sunday.

But it proved positive to observe how Denver's QB the rookie was able to overcome that deficit before direct three scoring drives in three attempts in the fourth quarter, to win the victory 21-17.

The Broncos boast the top defender in CB their star corner. They rank first in goal-line defense, whereas the Eagles lead the league in red zone offence, yet Denver won that contest.

They executed effective strategies in terms of simulated pressure. They did not always sending more than four defenders instead they could plug two linebackers in the interior then withdrawing them and send a slot defender from the outside.

Early on in the campaign, it was noted during a show that the Broncos might emerge as this season's surprise contenders. They finished last season well and excelled in continuing that momentum.

Are the Denver Broncos this season's underdog story?

Recently acquired tight end Evan Engram has excelled big and new RB their rusher is a player they believe in. He now ranks 5th league-wide in ground gains (402) and tied for fourth for rushing touchdowns (4).

It's impressive how head coach the Broncos' leader displays "RUN IT!" prominently on his call sheet.

This demonstrates that the Broncos represent a squad aiming to prioritize the run, because one can achieve much off the back of that. It reduces opposing rushes and keeps you in favourable situations.

This has helped QB Bo Nix, who came the NFL as a first-round selection in the prior draft, passing for 29 TDs – second only to a star QB in rookie records (31 back in 2020).

Josh Allen and Herbert possess the arm strength to pass anywhere, however they don't move in the same way as Nix. He has incredible arm talent, a unique trait, plus he is highly agile.

His strengths include his movement, being able to pass while moving, as well as using different arm angles to deliver throws as he moves outside protection, the bootlegs. He can throw that layered pass across the middle or past defenders.

For a young quarterback, at 25, he's got great composure under pressure and is not really fazed by extra rushers. He tries to evade a sack whenever possible and is able pass in tight spots. He has sharp intelligence and is very decisive.

When you consistently run the ball it eats up time and makes the defence to stay on the field extended periods, and when you've got an athletic quarterback the defence has to defend the field downfield and horizontally. It can be exhausting.

The quarterback has pushed back with the coach on the sideline sometimes and it seems the coach appreciates that fire, seeing him as such a competitor. I think it's exciting for him to coach a rookie QB who's similar to moldable clay. He can truly build something up the way he desires to shape him. I believe it's a unique opportunity for him.

The head coach has won a championship and now passed Bill Parcells for career NFL wins (173 - tied 14th overall). He's seen it all. In my opinion the achievements the Broncos are experiencing offensively is largely due to his guidance, his play-calling, his situational awareness – and the pairing with Nix helps shape him what he is.

There's no better a more qualified person in your ear, to help you during some of the tougher situations and build confidence.

I have faith in the Broncos' defense, in the QB's grit and calm. But is the team strong enough to face an elite team at its best? Because that was not championship-level play from Philadelphia in their last game.

Currently, I don't think Denver are incredible. They're performing better than most, that's a solid position to hold their division. The key to do to continue this path.

They excel at leaning into their forte, that is running the ball, and this is exactly what they should do versus the Jets at Tottenham. It will likely be a Dobbins-focused game, in essence.

The Jets have surrendered 140 yards on the ground each contest (sixth worst), five ground scores so far (in the bottom ten), and they're the sole squad yet to win a game.

Since the NFL began tracking takeaways in 1933, the Jets are also the inaugural squad to be without a single takeaway through five games, this is surprising when you think that their new coach was previously a defensive coach at the Detroit Lions.

The Chiefs' QB says Kansas City have 'already lost too many games' following a recent loss to Jacksonville.

Following this Sunday's game, the Broncos have a manageable slate up to their bye (in week 12) - the Giants, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans plus the Raiders prior to the Chiefs.

In the AFC West, Kansas City are 2-3 while Denver are even with the Los Angeles Chargers on 3-2 meaning they could challenge for the top of the division.

It depends upon which form of the Chiefs they meet since the Broncos {beat|def
